Measuring Device -Timer MSA

Can somebody provide support for conducting MSA study for a Timer in Control Panel.
This timer is used to select 'process time' as per process instructions.

OKaaaaay. timing something is a non-repeatable functional test. so standard repeatability tests cannot be performed as you cannot measure the exact same event twice. However, strictly speaking, a timer in a control panel (used to set a process time) is not measuring time it is allocating it. so it seems that you need only to calibrate it.

You could also perform a capability study on it.

I agree with calibration. Timers and stop watches (and regular watches) all measure time interval (time-of-day is a relative construct).
A calibration will tell you the error of your timer/controller, after which you may estimate the uncertainty of the calibration result.
I suppose you can then use that as the foundation of the capability study (not knowing very much about those things....).

Thanks for the response.
The same answer was provided to the auditor from our customer. He did NOT agree and insisted on MSA study. We know he is not right. We have ignored his comments.
We have carried out the calibration study as suggested.
