I am sorry, because this type of measurement is not my specialty, but I suggest this thought:
Because the radius is kept between two points as listed, and this is a wide spec by some views.
When looking down on the flat metal 6" strip at the edges, can the point of beginning of radius be seen?
If so, then can the beginning of radius to end/side of strip dimension then be viewed/measured with the viewing system?
From either top or bottom side of metal strip?
Wouldn’t this be a single point of radius measurement? (in this case no more is needed?)
Given: 0.032" material width, with 0.024" to 0.055" radius limits.
With this spec the radius is likely to come close to 0.75* –to- 1.50* the width of the material. Even a varying radius would not exceed the maximum radius point of directly horizontal. I would make a serious effort to make a vertical measurement from start of radius to side edge. If comparing is needed, then do so.
Even a special reflection assisting light source, to pick-up the radius beginning point.
maybe a dry eraser marking pen, or other item to enhance the edge contrast.
alot of hogwash right?
