ISO 17025 /ASTM E83 Video extensometer calibration-verification for tensile testing metals

has anyone had experience with methods for verification - calibration of video extensometry aka non contact extensometry or optical extensometry - used instead of clip-on strain gaging extensometry techniques

I would appreciate any advice

There is no problem calibratiing non contact extensometers in the same way as clip-on extensometers. You need to verify the accuracy of gauge length, as well as measurement accuracy, repeatability, etc, over the measuring range the extensometer will be used during a mechanical test.

If you can be more specific about your concerns I can help you more.

The common standard for extensometer verification is ISO 9513.
