I would love to help you but what is a BGA

According to the acronym finder
https://www.acronymfinder.com/af-query.asp?p=dict&String=exact&Acronym=BGA

BGA Ball Grid Array
BGA Behavior Genetics Association
BGA Beta Gimbal Assembly
BGA Blue-Green Algae
BGA British Gliding Association
BGA British Go Association
BGA Broiler Growers Association
BGA Bucaramanga, Colombia - Palo Negro (Airport Code)
BGA Buffer Gate Array
BGA Bundesgesundheitsamt
BGA Bundesverband des Deutschen Groß– Und Außenhandels (Federation of German Wholesale and Foreign Trade)

Please help us to help you :mg:

If you are talking about a BGA package tape reel I would think that rebaking the reel would interfere with any static dissipative properties the plastic has. Perhaps you already have a procedure in place to reinspect the tape after you rebake it? I would contact the manufacturer and find out what they recommend.

Short answer, Yes. JSTD-033a is a standard from JEDEC that covers moisture sensitive devices and is available as a free download from their website (after registering) that should answer any questions you have and also has a table for bake times. There is also a standard available from IPC (IPC-SM-786A), but that one has to be purchased.

Hope that helps.

I understand the requirement of rebaking when the component was exposed however does JSTD-033a call for rebake if the component expired it shelf life but not exposed?
