Monitoring & Measuring Software confirmation (validation) - TS 16949 Section 7.6

TS 16949 section 7.6 requires that all monitoring and measuring software be confirmed prior to intinal use and as necessary. My company uses GageTrack and DataMyte. Has anyone performed a confirmation on these and how. My guess is to have a known test and see if the results are the same. Does anyone know of a published or known standard for X-R charts and Gage R&R's.

My best guess is enter the same data as in MSA book QS9000 book and check the results and compare with the book.

If you have a measuring machine you have to do a msa on the system. For initial test of the system you can test a master piece with known characteristics.
