Monitoring transmitted data from a bluetooth medical product

I'm working with developing a wearable sensor product, which is transmitting its measured data over bluetooth. My questions is, how is the transmitted data usually monitored during immunity testing? Will the strong EM fields not impact the transmitted data?

I meant more on the side of the testlab, what equipment is used to capture and monitor the data? Or is that entirely up to the manufacturer to develop a monitoring method of their equipment?

So your concern is not with the transmission of the data, rather how to ensure the collection of the data is not affected or distorted under high EM conditions?

I have not done BlueTooth, but did do a Zigbee device.
This consisted of a sensor connected by Zigbee to a remote printer.
Both parts were 'in the chamber' so were tested as a system.
The 'old' 60601-1-2 (2007) allowed you to skip frequencies used by intentional receivers.
The 'new' version (2014) does not use this approach but now demands that Basic Safety and Essential Performance are maintained. This all has to be defined by you and your test house as part of the Test Plan.
I suspect that your Test House will need you to provide some way of monitoring the Bluetooth communication.
(Perhaps a BT aerial/receiver feeding a remote PC or screened computer - in a metal box).

Yes, we will perform a trial run of the tests we need to do at a non-accredited lab, and there we will be using the development card for the bluetooth chip as a receiver connected to a PC outside the test chamber via USB, but we don't know how the development card will behaive when subjected to the immunity tests, since it will also be inside the test chamber.

Remember that for the immunity tests the test antenna does 'focus' the interference energy, and the walls and floor are designed to limit the reflections. So, keep your receiver well out of the 'beam' and possibly put it in a die-cast box exposing only an antenna (use a dev board with a separate antenna rather than a 'printed track' one.

It is the sort of thing that a Test House will probably have come up against many times before so do ask them for suggested techniques.
