Hi, can a manufacturer outside of the UK appoint more than one UK RP? I have read the UK MDR regulations, which say that a device manufactured by a manufacturer outside of the UK must be registered by a UK RP, and I'm sure I have read somewhere that an individual device can only be registered by one UK RP, but I cannot find anything to say that the manufacturer must have one sole UK RP except on a company offering its services as a UK RP's website, and they may have their own reasons for saying this. In the MHRA registration guidance Regulating medical devices in the UK it does say "Manufacturers should appoint their UK Responsible Persons as soon as possible"which would indicate that you can have more than one? One of our suppliers wants to use us as their UK RP for IVD's we import, and another company as UK RP for a different section of their device market in the UK. I have emailed MHRA for clarification but for obvious reasons they are taking ages to respond to enquiries. If anyone can help with a definitive answer I would be very grateful. Thank you
