Moving steps from ISO 9001 to TL 9000

My company provide telecom services (fixed, mobile & data) & most of the departments in the company are certified for ISO 9001.

The largest department in the company is going through a complete transformation/ restructuring & I have to provide the plan to develop/enhance the QMS to the newly structured functions for new certification or revision.

I am considering TL 9001. My objective is to improve the quality of services we are providing to our customers.

I am new to the TL 9001 and you advices are highly appreciated.

If I understand correctly, you have departments certified to ISO 9001? Each has it's own certificate? Could you confirm if you have a management system, based on the processes of the organization or if you got certified by department. It may have a very significant affect on the next steps...

Yes, we have departments certified to ISO 9001 & each has it's own certificate.

I'd suggest then, that your organization find another CB and get certified as an organization, not as departments. Your CB Should never have registered you like that, IMHO.
