I have discussed many persons on the subject topic. but no one can explain this. Some of the persons were having PHD degree in math also. Can anyone have through knowledge on the subject, whch may send attachment.

I guess Sushil Kuma is still baffled... :rolleyes: There are so many threads here on Measurement Systems Analysis I'm surprised. Not rocket science. I'm wondering what PhD would know about MSA.

Msa What's In This...

Measurement is nothingbut converting a parameter in to variable. ( Eg : Height ..? 180cm ).Consider the case as we need to measure height of a person.

We need a system to carryout mesurement ( his height )and it includes 1.Part ( person to be measured ), 2. appraiser ( a person to do measure ) , 3. checking method ( height can be only measured if the person stands straight ) , 4. ambience ( in room temp ? or not )5. Checking device ( scale / measuring tape ).The above system is called as Measurement system.

Analysing the suitability of such system to any particular application is calle MSA.

MSA has 2 major division...

1. Width variation
2.Location variation.

Width variation analyse Repeatability and reproducibility .

Location variation deals with Bias, Linearity and Stability.
