Please tell us that you do not repeat these annually. While studies such as bias and linearity do need to be repeated on some frequency, GRR studies do not need to be repeated unless you actually change the measurement system is some way.

As a sub-contract manufacturer, I submit a lot of first article inspection reports and most are like mini PPAP’s with multiple samples and a requirement to include MSA studies for the type of measurement devices used, and the overwhelming majority want all the information submitted to be dated within the last 12 months.
We have been doing these for over 20 years and believe me it saves a lot of pain and heartache to have them done and available when the pressure is on, and as many of you know these things are like buses (well London buses) i.e. you wait ages for one and then 12 come along at once.
I know we don’t HAVE to do them annually and it would probably be very inconvenient for most of you on here to do that, however for us it makes life easier.
