Hello,

Need help with conditional formatting.

I have attached this spreadsheet where I have applied Conditional Formatting in the column, "Supplier Status". The colors change in the cell but how can I have the conditional formatting colors across the entire row?

Also how can I have white colored font when the background is red color as part of conditional formating?

Thanks!

For conditional formatting across complete rows:
1. Select the complete table where you want to apply conditional formatting (where the rows are located)
2. Go to "Conditional formatting" option on home tab
3. Select "New rule"
4. Use last option from list, which is "Use a formula to determine which cells to format"
5. Formula tab will appear below "Format values where this value is true" message
6. Enter "=$H4="Preferred" formula in this formula tab
7. Now go to format option on same window
8. Select the color you want to choose for the option (In this case, it will be green- as per your selection)
9. Click "OK"
10. Repeat same process using different formulas just by replacing "Preferred" by "Non-Preferred", etc.
Eg. =$H4="Non-preferred"
And choose the color of your choice.

For changing font color of conditional formatting: (If conditional formatting is already done and you just want to change the font color)
1. Go to conditional formatting
2. Choose "manage rules" option
3. Select the rule where you want to modify the color
4. Click "Edit rule" option
5. Click on "Format" option
6. Go to font tab
7. Under color option, click on drop-down menu where default value will be "automatic". Choose color of font of your choice.

Attached herewith your excel sheet with conditional formatting applied to rows.

Very good indeed. Using your advice, it took me all of 1 minute to figure out what was taking me 8 hours from yesterday to get my worksheet correct. Thanks Again!!!
