Hi to all,
given that there is the new issue of Control plan blue book, have you already assessed whether there are eventual new requirements from the previous version or new requirement?
Do you have some ideas to share?
thanks

In the new control plan blue book, in addition to stating reaction plans, it is stated that the reaction plan must be assigned an owner. I don't believe this was a requirement in the previous blue book, but I may be wrong.

Like process owner? Like if it is related to crimping issue then the process engineer is responsible? Normally for the reaction plan field we used to put our procedure for non-conforming product and that worked really well.

the process /procedure of NC & CA should indicate the reaction plan in control plan ; otherwise the control plan should be virtually updated to reflect the status & evidences of reaction plans taken ; control plans & PFMEA are life documents for revising to consider the effect of changes & actions taken.

So, if you reference your non-conforming product procedure as your reaction plan, you would need to state who is the owner of the non-conforming product process. The new blue book recommends using one position instead of stating a department. So, for example, in the case of the non-conforming product process, the person ultimately responsible may be the Quality Manager. The new blue book gives an example of a control plan, and they have added a column next to the Reaction Plan, and the new column is labeled Owner/Responsible.

The new blue book does also say that you reference a procedure for your reaction plan, and if that procedure included details on who is responsible or is the owner for the process, then that could meet the requirement of stating who is the owner or is responsible.

When reaction plan consists of nonconforming product handling procedure only, it is huge waste of potential. brought by his document portion.
Main purpose of reaction plan, from organizational point of view, is to return manufacturing process, as soon as possible to state, when purely OK parts are made. Finish this job first and then manage waste made meanwhile.

Looking on control plan, same as PFMEA, tells me, whether company knows own job, or is it only making money from it.
I don't need to question people - paper talk is enough.
