Hello, everyone. One time poster here coming back from a 2 year break. Thought I'd re-introduce myself and say hello.

Good to be here again, looking forward to talking with you guys!

4. Currently looking, located in San Francisco Bay area, California

5. Been in Quality about 4 years now

6. Recently started to play Go again, or Weiqi, the oriental board game with black and white stones. Quite nice to be back in the zone!

7. Not having enough information! Especially about customer requirements!! Pet Peeeeeeeeeve!!!

8. I would establish more formal courses and degrees in undergraduate business schools across the country on Quality.

I am a Mechanical engineer by studies and Quality manager by profession.

2. Job Title or explanation of what you do - Occupational Risk Manager for a major insurer in Australia. Basically I assess the occupational risk profiles of insured clients and see if we can assist them in getting closer to compliance with their legislative obligations and QA obligations.

3. Industry you're in or have been in - Mining/Drilling, Commercial Fishing, Heavy Transport, Insurance

6. Something personal that sets you apart - The straightest shooter you will ever meet. Dont ask me if you dont want to hear the honest answer.

7. Your pet peeve in quality (pet peeve is a minor annoyance that can instill a great level of frustration) - Micro focus. Example.. worrying about someone parking in your parking space while your clients wait on the phone. Perspective people!!

8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? - More education. Education increases reason and logic and dispells superstition. Too many of the world's issues are related to superstition and lack of reason.
