Hi everybody,
Thank you for all your support/wellcoming.
Just tell you that I've started to work as QA technician in a Spanish Pharmaceutical company, trying to manufacture a Medical Device Class II for exporting to US in the near future, so I'll probably ask you many questions very soon.
Regards,
Mary

Hello Everyone,

My name is Nate and I am a new Quality Engineer at Tribar Mfg in Michigan.

I have only been in a quality role for a couple of years and this is my first time as a QE.

I only recently started this position and already I see systems I would like to implement, namely a strong 5S system.

Being a "newb" I look forward to interacting with other members of this forum and I hope my questions and comments help others as much as they help me :)

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. :agree:

My name is Donna and I am the Managing Director of a Business Consulting Firm, focused primarily on technical support and human systems. I develop programs for organizations to assist with manufacturing operational excellence. My passion is getting results through people by treating them with RESPECT and not as if they are a fixed asset :)

I have spent most of my career in manufacturing in the automotive and aviation industries, with a focus on the technical operations side of the business.

My company is located in the Greater Toronto Area. It was established in 2012. Prior to starting the company I worked for one of the world's largest automotive supplier, Magna International for 11 years as the Vice President of Human Resources, People Development and Training in a global role. My career spans 25 years in industry.

What sets me apart? Hmmm.. Everyone believes they are unique and in fact everyone is unique. About me? I am passionate about engaging and equipping people with opportunity, training and mentoring to help them bring their best to the business and their lives.

My greatest level of frustration comes from leaders who don't walk the talk when they say people are their most valuable resource, but then treat them as a commodity.

If I could change anything in the business world I would ensure that we did predictive and preventative maintenance on our people with the same focus as we do on equipment.

I look forward to being part of your community and look forward to learning and contributing to the group.

Wellcome on board Donna,
I've liked your presentation. I wish we could do sometimes the same maintenance issues to people than to machines, that is to say, without protesting and gratefully.
Have a nice weekend.
Regards,
Maria

Donna,

Welcome to the site! I believe you will find it very informative, and I do like your take on the "people thing!" When you manage people with firm but fairness and respect, they will rarely refuse your request, no matter how over the top it may be! More people need to manage under that philosophy!

Regards,
DavidSKI
