Thank you, Marc. I thought I had covered all the possible threads in this forums where something like this might be covered. I'm assuming that this post was removed from the subforum I had placed it in?

EDIT: oops. I forgot all about the intro questions...
1. Name: Rick
2. Job Title or explanation of what you do: Manage the ISO 9001 program for my first job after serving 20 years in the US Army.
3. Industry you're in or have been in: Currently electronics assembly, previously aviation.
4. Company you work for and location: Colorado, USA
5. Number of years in the business world: 20+ or one week, depending on definition.
6. Something personal that sets you apart: Take the leash off and get out of my way.
7. Your pet peeve about business practices: Many.
8. If you could change something in the business world, what would that be? Remember that work is no place for taking stuff personally. We ain't gotta be friends to get s* done, roger?

Admittedly the "introductions" thread isn't readily apparent. There are a lot of different forums which have been added for one reason or another over the years so it has gotten relatively complex. Your post was simply moved to this thread.

2. Job Title or explanation of what you do: I'm a quality engineer.

Be able to weed out the people who have terrible work ethics that only hinders the progress of others.

Re: FNG making first appearance

:topic:

Morning, all. This is my first week as Quality Systems Manager. We have an external audit on Monday, so I'll likely be mostly silent until after that and until I complete the transition from 2008 to 2015. I was told about this site from my predecessor yesterday and am looking forward to learning all I can from yall.

Mods, please advise if there's a more appropriate location to make introductions. Thanks.
:bigwave:Yep, welcome to the Cove - the best learning experience for Quality folk in the world:agree1::agree1::applause:

Hello everyone!
My name is Jeff Bernier and am currently a Quality Manager and Process Engineer working for General Dynamics.

I have nearly 20 years of experience in quality assurance, and nondestructive testing.

I have worked in the steel industry, automotive, pressure vessel and currently, aerospace.

I am a military veteran and the one thing I would like to change in the business world is cronyism and poor leadership practices.

Hi Jeff. :bigwave: I was going to say welcome, but it looks like you've been around here since 2003. I worked for General Dynamics 30 years ago. You probably work at a different place though, since the facility I worked at is now Lockheed Martin...

Hi guys,

I am Carole Kariuki
I work for a health care recruitment agency in UK
My current job title is Quality Manager
I started working for agency 4 years ago and work with diverse cultures.
A change I would like to see in the biz world would be getting rid of eschewed values.
Have been on this forum for years. Its an absolute diamond gem as I am self-taught on quality matters and this was the tool that did it. This is the first time I am introducing myself coz I can now comfortably say I know all that im doing now.
Kind regards
Carole
