I have spent 25+ year calibrating everything electronic for pay.
My survival and success has been behind the method of faster, and accelerate. And I did.
I am somewhat burned out, and folding back to what is reasonable, and less focus on quantity.
I am retooling and revisiting the written knowledge of my field.
I offer experiences and some comments on known successful methods.

Hi everyone,
My name is Tony 'B', I am a helicopter engineer by trade, although I am now QM for an aviation MRO here in the Middle East, we specialize in rotor blade repair, and in addition we have a hydraulic flight control OH shop, and an avionics shop. I entered aviation in 1974, came to the middle east in 1978, and have been here ever since! In addition to quality, I am now getting into safety, with particular interests in human factors, accident investigation and the like. Pet peeves... people forgetting that communication is a two-way process, and, people unwilling to take personal responsibility for their actions (the duty of care), which we all owe to each other. (climbs off of soap-box!)

A quick scout through the forum reveals a very wide knowledge base, and I look forward to taking part, where I can!

Thank you!

Hi.
I just registered to the forum, although i have been reading the threads for at least 2.5 years, whenever i encountered various QA issues and wanted to know what happens in real life, and when guidances/ standards were so vague and general they may well have not been written at all...
my experience of almost 3 years in the field of medical device QS is totally hands-on, and although i've experienced 2 NB audits and written many SOPs and other QS documents, i still feel my knowledge is seriously wanting, so i will probably do more asking than answering, but will add my 2 cents whenever i feel they're worth anything.

Hi everyone!

I'm Ruthie and presently the Admin & Finance Manager of a food Manufacturing Company.
At present, i am the Lead Auditor of our IQA. Our QMS is still young and got certified about 4 months ago.
I am a CPA and have previously worked with an Auditing Firm prior to my present work.

My office location is here in the Philippines and have been working for the last 24 years. Pet peeve? well that would be for people in the organization who are not team players and who take credit for things they did not actually do!:)

Great to be a part of this group, though i may not be as active as the other members.

Sharing things like you are doing it here can spell much in improving organizations which will have a great impact to the business world.

My name is Merry Christmas Bryan, and I was born on April 1st.:bigwave:
I have just recently become Quality Manager for a small co-packing facility in the Indiana Tri-State Area. I have been through 3 AIB audits and 3 ISO audits, finding that I like the challenge very much. I came to this forum through a search engine and so far have found what I am looking for here. I will try to get on often and see if there is any kind of help out there for me, according to my family and co-workers that is not possible. I like to joke but can be serious when I have to be, but I find a sense of humor makes most things easier.

Welcome to the Cove, Chris! :bigwave:

Given that your name is Merry Christmas (and that you have a sense of humor) wouldn't it be more appropriate if you were a Quality Manger instead?
