Hello everyone,

My name is Lori. I have worked at the same company in the Quality department for the last 15 years. My company is in Logistics.

Typically, I just observe and search forums for information that I need. However, I decided that was a selfish approach and thought it was time I get involved so I decided to introduce myself and see what happens.

I would like to thank everyone who posts to this forum for their valuable insight and the knowledge they share. It has been very helpful to me in many ways. So thank you all again.

Lori

Iain Findlay

My name is Iain Findlay
I'm developing ISO9001 and then hoping to move onto 14001 using sustainability principles to inform the targets to be aimed at.
This work is for an Insolvency Company but my own background has been largely around environmental and sustainability education and agriculture
I am based in Gloucestershire for the moment
Been at this for 20 years or so.
I am a bagpiper and mountaineer.
I think it's a disaster that GDP is the benchmark for the wealth of a nation and also that people seem not to understand that the environment is the basis for all economic activity.
If I could change one thing it would be to introduce a longer term perspective into all economic and business planning rather than this self destructive short termism that is all pervasive. It's so short sighted and utterly self defeating.

My sons followed in my footsteps. All three are current (11/13) members of the Ohio State University Marching Band. We all play trombone. :notme: This is part of the reason why I have a day job AND a night job.
7. Your pet peeve about business practices. (pet peeve is a minor annoyance that can instill a great level of frustration)
Lots of people say "act on fact" but few people that "talk the talk" are willing to "walk the walk."
8. If you could change something in the business world, what would that be? Hire only those candidates who can write a cogent essay about a technical subject. :soap:
