Hi all,

My name is Jimmie. I am a normal machine operator but work a lot with quality as well. I am doing a course in manufactory improvement and have been reading up on statistics and qualeity there. Right now I am doing my final paper on a method to (I hope) connect a machines capability to the interval between samples. Not looking to good though.
I am also a Six Sigma green belt.
I have been working in industrial production these 20 years of my worklife.

What sets me apart.. Well around here, I suppose the fact that I am a operator.. at work, that I am intrested in quality on a "deeper" level.

Pet-peeve: "Toyota does it like this..." Don't missunderstand me, Toyota does a lot of good, but we are not Toyota, we need to think as well.

What I would change in the buisniessworld: Management look on long term improvement and quality

I work for Quintech Electronics and Communications Inc.
We are ISO 9001:2008 certified
I have been a prototype technician for the past 6 years with the company

More recently, they let our Quality Manager go and let ALL of quality to fall on myself and the Manufacturing Engineer. He has been named Management Representative and I have been left in charge of Internal Audits.

For what it's worth I think we have been doing a decent job maintaining and we have passed several registrar audits since then. Though I fear maintaining isn't enough.

I am young and very new to Quality Management Systems. I have read many many posts and have found a lot of material to be very informative. I have also done a lot of research on my own to learn more about QMS's. I hope to learn more here and hopefully be able to make something better from our current QMS.
