The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) June 18 added eight substances to a candidate list for authorization, meaning the substances are considered to be of “very high concern” and could be banned or restricted under the European Union's REACH legislation.
The listing brings the number of substances on the list to 38. The newly added substances are ammonium dichromate, boric acid, disodium tetraborate, potassium chromate, potassium dichromate, sodium chromate, tetraboron disodium heptaoxide, and trichloroethylene.
