I called our auditor (UL) and they said TS would change soon.

Folks, don't get too excited! If it's not coming from IATF directly, it's all gossip and hearsay....:mg:

Hi to all I recently read the ISO 9001:2008 standard and is nothing but the TS 16949:2002 with minor changes.

and as per the TS manual, any Technical specification first time will be revised in 3 years and after 6 years either it shoul be converted into Standard or it shoul be vanished.

TS realsed in 1999 and 1st revision is realease in 2002 now in the year 2008 either it should be converted in standard or ........

What i want to say or ask
is TS already converted into Standard, ISO 9001:2008 (Bcoz almost it is same) or is there any other story if any one u know kindly reply.

You must be mistaken. Read: Summary of Changes - ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:2008

I seen somewhere that the new revision is Jan. 2009. Should we not be able to get this ordered now? It said that there were many changes.

Look at the second hyperlink on post # 2 of this thread. I very much doubt the TC 176 would be able to change the NP document from stage 10.92 to 60.60 in a month or so.

Just saw a presentation material from the IAOB. According to the material, the amended TS16949 will be released sometime during the first quarter of 2009.
Remember, amendment, in the context of ISO, means a document with non-significant changes, compared to the previous version, e.g., ISO 9000:2005, ISO 9001:2008, etc.
