NFPA 70 electrical harness questions

I'm trying to find the specific clauses in NFPA 70 that documents how a wiring harness is supposed to look / be protected and I'm having a heck of a time finding those specifics.

Is there anyone out there that understands these standards well enough to point me in the correct direction?

Hello marcusja2002,

Are you referring to arc flash requirements for high currents NFPA 70E? I would not expect that to apply to wiring harnesses because it is really about current supply sources, not so much the wiring that can be disconnected and carries no current after having done so.

No, I'm referring to assembly acceptability requirements. Since this post I was directed to IPC 620 which has alot of acceptablity requirements that will help direct our needs. The NFPA 70 handbook has very little on how the harness should look, just an end function really.
