Nonconforming procedure and ISO 9001-2015

Hello Quality Pros:

My nonconforming procedure is from our ISO 9001-2008 revision. It was required. Do I need to modify/change the 2008 procedure to meet ISO 9001-2015 standard?

How are companies that were ISO 9001-2008 out there meeting this requirement to ISO 9001-2015 standard?

It is basically the same, although it looks like it doesn't need to be documented any longer. However, if you already have it, and it's working, why change? Move on to something more useful.

What about the procedure number. Our procedure in the title had NC ISO 2008 Procedure 8.3. Does this have to be changed?

Why bother?

It could be called "The useless procedure no one ever follows" and it is still just a title.

What value the documented action/process has, and whether folks are trained to follow it, and whether they actually DO follow it is what makes it of value...

I kept trying to call on of my procedures "Fred", but my boss wouldn't let me.

You could call it what ever you want - make sure that it is the same name in other places that you are making reference to.

In addition, make sure that it meets the standard requirements

Stop numbering documents to the standard. That way you never have to bother again...

Put some order, rename to Nonconfomity procedure without mentioning clauses numbers.
