Notification of supplier change to our customers

We provide packaging (dunage) to our customers. The packaging is manufactured according to an approved print by a supplier of our choosing. If we change packaging suppliers, do we have to notify our customers even though the product is not of direct product content and :bigwave: will have no affect on the product?

My "shoot from the hip" response is - Yes (going on the assumption you are supplying "reuseable" dunnage). I would suggest contacting your customers as it may just involve a warrant and some sort of "Restricted & Reportable Substances" report (or they may need nothing!).

Packaging Changes

Keep in mind that your customers may have designed their product realization process around the packaging dimensions. If your custoemrs designed their racks or product storage around the dimensions of the dunnage, and then you change it without telling them, you may have some cust. satisfaction problems.
