Office Relocation Installation Inspection Sheet

Hello everyone,

I am loking for as checklist that commerical office removal company supervisor could use to check that all the furniture has been relocated in the new premises in line with the customer requirments. I am currently assisting the company to achieve ISO 9001:2008, would anyone have such a template?

Hi tonyjj,

I did a few searches in the Post Attachments List - see the green button in the header - but did not find anything specific to your needs.

I did find a short list of attachments when searching using the key word "layout."

And that's what it's about, isn't it? Ensuring the right desk, chair etc goes from the current office to that one? Such could be accomplished with a diagram that cross-identifies items that the movers attach tags or labels on.

Using a diagram can help ensure that not only does the right desk and chair arrive in the new office, it's positioned the same way as before. I can't envision a checklist doing that, though it sure wouldn't hurt to make an inventory of what items "belong" to whom, and their identifying number or code.

Many thanks for the quick reponse, I note your comments and have taught of going it that way. but when I googled some companies operating in this space, they say they use an installation checklist to sign off the work. disassembling and reassembling of furniture could be part of the service also.

This is a common aspect of problems with things like inspection check lists - Each scenario can be a bit different so there is rarely a "one size fits all" sheet. I would think some of this would be similar to a check list used by someone moving to a new/different house.

But then, what are the limitations? Are people's computers being moved as well? Phone line hookups and computer LAN hookups?

I'm unclear about the extent of the work involved. Will electrical panels be moved, upgraded or installed? Will safety systems like fire suppression be installed or changed? For these things I would absolutely use a checklist approach. But if all you will be doing is relocating furniture, I do not imagine a checklist aiding with much in the task.
