Old Master Schedules - How Long to Keep?

HI,
Updating a Retention Schedule matrix and there is a discussion about whether or not we need to keep Past Schedules as in old Master Schedules.
Currently the Matrix says "minimum of 2 years, lifetime of medical device".
Can someone advise?
Thanks...

To me, schedules are a management tool and do not contribute to quality / regulatory; i.e., not part of the DHF / Medical Device File. Unless your master schedule pulls in more than tracking of tasks, I wouldn't see a need to keep it.

Are you discussing the retention of the retention schedule? What is the content of the master schedules?

Do you have a quality system document that list the retention requirement for your documents, or is this only documented in a separate matrix?

Our SOP: Control of Records has a Retention Matrix in it. There have been many cooks at this point :p in the Quality Manual

RAQA Support

Supporting your goals and objectives since 1989.
It would fall under the retention policy of your quality system documents and not connected to product. Keep it as long as you keep obsolete quality system documents.
