Learning to be an auditor in 1 day? 8 hours? Good luck with THAT! Maybe 16 hours or more. Frankly, without some personal coaching you'll be lucky to be even remotely dangerous as an auditor.

Relax again I'm not looking to be a lead auditor. I am looking to get some knowledge from a 1-2 day online class. Then participate in shadowing, collecting information, learning techniques, then go to offsite training.

Do you have someone in your organisation you plan to shadow? If so they are probably best placed to direct you for training. I'm not aware of any decent non-classroom based training for auditing. I would suggest your time may be better spend reading through the standards you wish to audit too as well as giving ISO 19011 a glance. This coupled with offsite training and some shadowing of a competent auditor should get you up to speed.
