Re: If Boeing is your customer and you are AS9100 certified, pay attention
My bad. I forgot about Chrome.
I get the attached .pdf file...
That said, it says: "You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows?, Mac, or Linux? by visiting http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html"
I got a redirect but I finally did find a version of Adobe Reader which is for OS X. I installed it. I tried the link - Using Firefox. Same error message.
So - I tried the right click download - Got the error page.
Tried the right click "Open With" and chose Adobe Reader - And it opened with that. Of course, it started telling me I should change my default .pdf reader to Adobe Reader (currently set for .pdf's to open with Preview since all of the .pdf stuff is built into OS X).
Oh, well. Jump through hoops sometimes. I have not seen a .pdf file that I couldn't open with Preview in many years. I have no idea what makes Adobe Reader special. Firefox opens all the other .pdf files I've come across as of late right in the browser window. The idea of .pdf files is that they're supposed to be platform agnostic.
Now that I have gone through everything, as long as the file is opened with Adobe Reader it opens OK. I see Adobe Reader has some "Tools" and other things like "Sign" and "Comment". So I guess it's OK. It's not stuff I would use, but I can see its potential value.

<snip> What happens if you right-click and do "Save target as..." with that link?
