Operator Work Instructions - 'Off the shelf' flip display?

Hello All:

I am looking for an off the shelf (business depot, Office Max, etc...) item for posting work instructions at each work station. My need is similar to a 3-ring binder with the binder removed and then having the documents in page protectors hanging in a landscape format. I don't want to use a typical 3-ring binder because they are not robust enough and the rings open too easily. Does anyone know of a product that will do what I need? Or what have you used in-house or seen at other locations?

Thanks,

Jen

I've seen single-ring items used to hold laminated copies of documentation, along with a "chain" to fix it to the work station. Don't know if you'll find it in their online catalogs, though...an in-person visit may be required and the folks at the "copy station" might be able to point you in the right direction.

If you want durability, you can laminate the pages and mount them in comb binding.

Both laminating machines and binding machines can be purchased for in-house booklet production.

We use 11x17 laminated instructions, with 3 ring holes punched, then hung with 3 ring clips on a small rod on top of a frame, or on wires strung at the work station.

we use some easy view document holders from McMaster Carr - www.mcmaster.com. see their office supplies > racks & catalog stands > item8396t45... there is a selection of some different types there. for our environment here they work pretty well.
