Implementing all the needed controls at the outsourced location by you directly or by the outsourced agency under your instructions for the major process AS IF it is being performed within your organization.

Points you should consider:

The verification activities performed by the supply chain shouldn't be used by the company as evidence of effective control of quality - you can't wash your hands of that responsibility.

The company will need to have a method in place to assess the outsourced group, depending on their approvals. Can they disposition non-conformances on their own? Do they need to tell the company when a non-conformance occurs? Do they have delegation of verification? Are they willing to accept possible audits by the customer or company?

In a nutshell, you have to treat them as if they were performing work within your walls.

We use a Supplier Quality Manual for these points and the outsourced group is required to agree to the outlined responsibilities in writing.
