Hi,

For oven usage for my process, my specs indicate that "Ovens shall be equipped with temperature indicating and controlling devices meeting the requirements of BAC5621, Class IV, Type H, or better."

In BAC5621, Instrumentation Types are defined in Section 2.2.2: "The Types are in decreasing
order of temperature control instrumentation requirements (such as, Type A has the greatest instrumentation control requirements and
Type N the least)."

If my oven is AMS2750F Class 4 Type D, is it considered meeting the requirements?

Thank you for the help

Yes.

If your ovens are on AMS2750 already you can just continue to use AMS2750 as your specification and meet BAC5621 at the same time thanks to BAC5621 1.d. from there table II (class) and table III (type) are the equivalency tables between the 2 specifications.
Per BAC5621 Table II AMS2750 Class 4 is equivalent (its actually slightly tighter tolerance) to BAC5621 Class IV
Per BAC5621 Table III AMS2750 Type D is equivalent to BAC5621 Type D

for reference the other matches are:
Class:
BAC5621 AMS2750
I 1
II 2
III 3
no comparable 4
IV 5
V 6

Type:
BAC5621 AMS2750
A A
no comparable B
B C
C no comparable
D D
H,I,N no comparable

In all cases an equal or higher Class or Type is acceptable as a substitute for a lower class or type i.e. if a process requires Class IV then Class 1,2,3,4 and 5 are all acceptable. If an AMS2750 slot has no comparable then the higher level must be used i.e. a process requiring BAC5621 type C would require at least AMS2750 type C.
