Wondering if anyone, outside medical, has any experience with PAD printing on a finished good and required regulatory information. Trying to explore options and possible roadblocks.
Greatly appreciate your insight.

so using pad printing for the actual marks, like the UL symbol, on the part? I don't see an issue as long as you verify/validate that it won't come off without serious effort (i.e. during normal use over it's lifetime) and that it's legible.
Are you looking to outsource or do in-house? If you outsource, your supplier should be able to guide you to the right ink for your application.

In house.
Then your ink supplier should be able to recommend the right ink for the job and I'd probably do periodic adhesion testing to the appropriate ASTM standard. Maybe do an accelerated aging test to validate the process.
