Be careful when selecting published documents from the IMDS. They may not match the composition of the material you are using. MSDS do not always list the complete composition of a material and in some cases they will only state "this material is non-hazardous".
The IMDS requires a complete breakdown of the material composition regardless of whether or not it is listed on the GADSL. There is a 10% cushion for proprietary substances.
I prefer not to use an MSDS or a CPDS. My preference is for the supplier to enter there product into the IMDS with my part number and send it to me for approval; then I can build my assembly and send it to the OE. But this is like pulling chicken teeth.
