Passivation Process

I have spent a few hours searching the internet for this answer then thought someone here probably has a good answer. We are switching over from Passivation per A967 Citric 3 to Citric 2 to speed the process up (20 minutes to 10 minutes). We purchased new tanks that are about 2x as large and has all the heating elements required. However, we don't want to fill the tank to the level for the filter to clean the solution. I was thinking of getting a little immersion pump that could pump the solution to the filter but I don't know what pump could/would withstand being immersed into PH3 citric acid. Does someone on the forum know a bit more about the passivation process and what type of immersion pump might work?

You might have trouble finding a submersible acid-resistant pump. Have you queried your chemistry supplier?

Our knowledge of SS passivation is limited as we have only just started it ourselves but as for Chemical pumps for immersion we avoid like the plague as they die quicker than a red shirt on an away team in star trek. We usually use a Gilby filter or a Serfilco with a hose sucking and hose blowing, filtered our acid based solutions with these for years, as long as the filter is primed with the solution the levels or placement have never been ab issue for us.
