We use to have those in England, many, many years ago. When I was a small kid I remember busses running through town - relatively quietly, and no diesel fumes - on electricity. They were called 'trolley busses' and didn't have rails like a tram, but used a similar overhead wire system. Kinda like a long extension cord............

Don't like to admit it, but I remember the trolley buses too!
I paid £1.33 a litre on Monday for diesel, nearly £70 to fill the car. It's beyond a joke....
