Plug Gage Calibration Report does not include actual data - ISO 9001:2000 section 7.6

A company sent their plug gage set for calibration. The calibration certification/report doesn't show the actual calibration measurements. It shows the tools used for the calibration and certified that all the gages are fine. This calibration house charges $100 more if calibration data are recorded on the report. The company certified that the plug gage set had been calibrated and certified.

Does it meet the requirement of section 7.6 which states,"Record of the results of calibration shall be maintained"? How do you interpret "Record of results of calibration"?

For in-house calibration, I expect the calibration technician to record calibration data on calibration reports.

Your question is almost like mine I posted a few days ago:

Some vendors & mfg's charge extra for the as found data, while others like the one I mentioned in the link above simply states it was within tolerance or out of tolerance by x.x%. I even had one company performing calibrations that would always simply give you a single sheet stating it was within tolerance. If it was found OOT, then they would supply you the actual data.

It's hard for me to determine which is the best method, while trying to save some money on calibrations sent out. Internally, all of our techs record the as found data. Curious to see what others say on this subject.

In my opinions,it's ok but not strict enough,if certified, it may be a proposal.
Any other views?

Rational determination of calibration intervals can't be done without the as-found data. In the case of something like cylindrical plugs, there's no "adjustment" to be done; it's just a matter of wear, and perhaps cleaning up some edges.
