In ISO 17025 a calibration laboratory needs to have a dedicated Quality Manager. In case the parent organization is ISO 9001 certified, can the organization's Quality Lead be shown as Quality Manager of the lab as well?
Thanks

The old ISO 17025:2005 required that the lab have "a member of staff as quality manager (however named)". The current 2017 version no longer requires the position, instead it reads "5.2 The laboratory shall identify management that has overall responsibility for the laboratory." If you designate someone as quality manager, that's fine, but not required.
