Interesting Discussion Potential Issues for Auditing ISO 9001:2015

When I am auditing, I am accompanied by the Management Representative and hopefully also the process manager, and find it is better for one of these responsible persons to record my observations in pictures that can then be shared with the rest of the team for evidence of needed improvement. I think this is true for Internal Audits, and critically so for 2nd and 3rd party audits where I really do not have the clear right to take pictures.

We are talking about internal audits.
The report of the audit is an internal document, and will never get out of the organization.
I think document the report with pictures taken during the audit process is a very interesting practice, and should be done.

I've seen entities outside of the organization request and receive internal audit reports.

Customers (including potential customers) have been the group with the most requests, but you clearly forgot CBs.

I would agree with you except for my concern that the pictures would only be viewed by persons who are interested in the audit report. My experience has been that these were few in number.

Of course, it the practice is agreeable to your organization then fine. Will thes pictures show code or safety law violations?

This kind of company has all of their work outside. They build electric power lines, everybody can see and photograph their work.
If it was a factory with "secrets" of course it was necessary to ask permission to take pictures.
Anyway, the CB has a confidential rule on their audits, so it was not so strange to take pictures during an audit.
Never forget "an image is better than 1000 words" !

We have used picture for our 14001 audits during covid. To show our spill kits were in place and all the areas required to be bunded were. These were done as we did a walkaround on teams. Other than that theres no pictures in our audits due to the nature of some of our parts and confidentiallity.

Ah yes fancy lunches, let's see last week was a ground cow sandwich, then a roadkilled hog plate, and topped with rooster fritters, everything topped off with garden weeds and Arnold Palmers.

As for instragram...............Never happen, I actually have a life.
