Looking to see if anyone has tried a "visual factory" approach to PPAP progress tracking in a QC department. I've used the Excel file approach and it's OK but it's a "make work" thing to update and post the incremental changes. Plus the white board would provide status updates to other departments that are involved during or after the QC departments process. I'm thinking of using a white board with the customer and part number running down the left side and the typical PPAP contents, e.g., PSW, PFD, PFMEA, etc. running across the top. Has anyone used this approach? I'm looking at Magnatag's website (Magnetic Whiteboard Printed Systems) for ideas but if anyone has suggestions for one of their boards that works for you, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
