Having a discussion regarding our system of maintaining our PPAP package and looking for some input regarding the maintenance/control of it's records.
PPAP, is your PPAP submission maintained as a Point in Time Record or can we maintain it as a live document.
Currently we print a hard copy of the PPAP package and place it in the filing cabinet. A few months down the road we might decide to make small modifications/corrections to the control plan. (These changes would not require us to resubmit). We change the Rev date on the control plan, identifiy the change in yellow so that it is clearly identified and print out a new copy. The new copy is then placed in the original PPAP package. The original (or replaced) Control Plan is removed and stored in an obsolete folder within the PPAP package to maintain a history of all changes made.
