Hi,
I work for a company that manufacutures stamped components to the automotive industry (brackets, body panels, etc) .
I'm totally new to the world of quality in the automotive industry and therefore I'm sure my question will sound silly but anyway...who is the person responsible for ensuring all the PPAP requirements are fulfilled on time?
Is it the quality engineer because she/he is responsible of ensuring the quality of the product?
Is it the project engineer in charge of the component because she/he is responsible of the product from its conception until it is signed off by the customer?
I know it should be a team effort but sooner or later someone will have to gather all of those documents, ensure they are all ok and "present" them to the customer.
Thanks a lot.
Jason
