Preservation of Product in Administrative Services

MaryJames - I still think you should exclude it. If you can't see a way to address it, then that's a clue........There's very little in ISO 9001 that an effective organization isn't already doing, so if you don't 'see it' as applying, then it probably doesn't. (I didn't want to imply that you are 'blind' to the situation, either;))

I am intrigued that it's the admin org. that's going for certification - I wouldn't have thought the CB would allow that. Without giving too much away, what does the 'other part' of the organization?

MaryJames, The reason I haven't posted up to now is because I feel we are trying to put a sticking plaster on a gaping wound. I get the feeling this company you are working for is doing things all wrong.

Some of the principles you should have picked up from the Cove is that processes flow across the organization and exclusions are only applicable if the organization doesn't do them.

For your hospital / health practice you need to look at the whole organization rather than department by department to get any benefit from ISO and the process approach.

If we start from there we may be able to provide some help. :)

The danger of asking bits or parts of question here and there is that you may end up getting a wrong answer (overall) because answers depends on the actual situation or having a 'true picture'. As professionals, nobody want to be accused of giving a wrong advice.

To the original poster, I suggest you recollect your thoughts and review your overall intention and when you are ready, please repost it in detail so that you can get a better answer.
