Hi everyone,
Please help with examples of Preventive Action Reports. For some reason the penny has not dropped and I do not seem to be able to develop this document.
Thanks
How about:
Minutes / action points from a management review
A (revised) process definition
A (revised) job description
A training plan
A tender document / proposal.
The standard says that you must have a “documented procedure” (ie a specified way ...") to explain how you take “preventive action” to avoid non-conformance, and you must record the result of action taken. To me, this means that you assess the risk of something going wrong, then take steps to avoid it.
I expect that you address this in your processes for planning of resources, allocation of responsibilities, product design, process design, quoting for work, management review .... It is neither a single process nor a single action. In effect it is the identification and reduction of risk - and how you define what you will do as a result.
So what you need to do is to show that you have recognised what might go wrong, and what you have done (differently) as result. You are probably doing it already!
