My story isn't so much about the print as much as a supplier's interpretation of it.
We sourced a cast product in China/Taiwan/Korea (can't remember which). The drawing was dimensioned correctly, the draft angle specified and the relevant USA casting standard referenced.
The supplier built the tooling and submitted a PPAP, which was promptly rejected. Turned out that the supplier, which was a reputable casting source, assumed the use of a regional/national standard that interprets the draft in relation to the dimension exactly opposite of the USA standard.
Using their standard, the part would have met print 100%. Lesson: Get and use the refenced standards. Don't make expensive assumptions.
