Re: Unrealistic customer???
Hi,
I dont know what's the current defect rate in PPM, this is the information to determine whether your current quality capability is meet what's your client's need.
but, obiviously, manually pack these more than 300 hundurd pieces is big chanllenge and we can foresee there are may high defect rate by missing parts.
we should have customer thinking (assume customer pay the right unit price) to help him to ensure every set they got is just meet their expectation or the ppm is made under target.
I have some proposal to solve this issue, the idea is general as below:
1) group the parts which is in similar weight in different pre-pack (small bag)
2) scale weight detect at the final station of each pre-pack to check whether missing part
3) put all the prepack into final pack
There is proof practice this help much to deduce the PPM in terms of missing part, but for sure, still certain PPM is there.
one more thing, there is some formular how to set the scale weight in order to detect if any part missing from each small pre-pack.
the sacle weight is not specially made, you can find it from the market.
I dont know if i understand what's the problem you are facing, if yes, i hope this give some hints to solve the probelm
