I started this thread again concerning this topic due to a meeting i just had about this. Just to be sure in this case when it is about controlling the process e.g. SPC , Cap study. it is important to select the parts correctly so they have to represent the process? Where in the reference manual MSA 4 th ed could that be stated. Please , please give me information about the pages?
I see huge problem with selecting parts, you should have stable process over time and you should have 100% control over your process. It will influnce the % study var & ndc a lot if you pick wrong parts!! What if the result is a base for a new measuring equipment and you have made the investment. Then you realize that the selected parts you picked was not represented of the process!?!?!?
Secondly if we do not know the process we can only go for % Tolerance?
