A matrix of the clauses in the standard against documented parts of the management system may show where in the system one would find some evidence of conformity.

May be useful to an auditor but rarely used to indicate what must be audited.

The audits schedule may show what processes are to be audited and how often sufficient to fulfill the objectives of the internal audit programme.

A former colleague says that a process matrix is used to represent the associated standard chapters of ISO 9001/14001 for the core process.
Then the person responsible for the process knows which standard chapters are responsible for him.
Accordingly, if necessary, the auditor

I'll agree with this one, 99.999999% of the ones tossed up to me as a planning document are a SWAG at best and just a waste of time that could be better used elsewhere.....Kinda like a standard audit checklist

Don’t create one! The example you posted isn’t accurate. Take a look at “vertrieb” (distribution). It shows 8.1 and 8.2 (only) as applicable(?). Does this mean that no other requirements of the QMS (or indeed ISO 9001) are applicable? A distribution function without people who are competent, trained, aware? Who don‘t require or generate documented information?
If such a matrix must be created, at least make it accurate…
