I have attached a PPAP workbook that we have been putting together over here for a while. The documents enclosed are from various sorces and exhibits that we have run across in our journey. Some may even have originated with some here in the forums. Unfortunately I will be unable to give due credit to anyone for any of the forms in the file. I hope it does not cause an issue for any who may have been the originator of any of this stuff.
Please let me know if anything looks wrong. In our book we also have the GR&R stuff from Chrysler but due to copyright concerns I have elected not to include them with this workbook. Any feedback on how to improve this would be concidered with joy.

Great Job

Mark,

I don't get my broadband put on until next week so that BIG file took a while to download but it was worth it. Well done. It looks great..I am no expert on these things but everything I looked at seemed O.K. It is a one stop job shop. I look forward to reading the other responses. I love the 'Operator Instructions' and the work 'Flow'. May your Karma grow proportionally.

we have dial up here and it took a bit to upload too. I know there are some internal links that could be added here and there but this thing has been very helpful to us so I thought I would share. Freely I have received so freely I give. Enjoy.
I want to thank everyone who has given other doc's to the cove they have been and are very useful as I continue my quest of a simple and complete QMS.

The format is good. Where is the FMEA information ?
I removed most of the data to keep the innocent innocent. most of the header info is pulled through the rest of the forms from the first sheet using simple formulas. If you need a sample of a filled out FMEA I can separate that sheet and fill in the info that we have. I left it blank for different industries to fill in their own info if they want to use it.
A lot of these forms were found by a coworker who is not here anymore, I did most of the linking and formating and I am also fixing a few issues as I find them.

Just to say I have seen it and have not got time to give a proper appraisal.
I promise that I will review it by the week end

I changed the attachment in the first post to a .zip file to help reduce the download time. Hope this helps.

Just a couple of observations that I think will help you improve the package.

1) Add space in the PFMEA for revision information. Since this is a controlled document, you should be tracking what changes are made, by whom, and when.
2) Link the Control Plan and Inspection Records. Our control plan, in-process inpsection records, material receiving inspection, etc etc are ALL linked to the control plan. Change one document, and all the rest are changed.
3) Add a page for Performance Test Results. Although most customers seem to be satisfied to have plating test results reported on the Material Test Results page, I have had one complaint from a customer that it wasn't on a performance test results page.
4) Add pages for capability analysis (30 pc, 50 pc, 100 pc, etc) to give the basic statistics (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk, Avg, StDev, ± 3StDev, etc)
5) Add a page for capability analysis (300 pc) for attribute gauge validation

However, it is a good little package all on its own. Depending on what you need, and more importantly, what your CUSTOMERS need, it may be sufficient as it is.

Apart form the documents mentioned by Ron Rompen, there is no marked drawing. This is vital also scan the material certificates

Are your customers asking for operator instructions etc?

Are you submitting PPAP's as a file?

In general it looks good.

Our customers ask for hard copies of everything so we print this book out and insert the print, Ppk/Cpk chartsfrom an SPC program we had (I have to find where it went), we have not been required to do performance testing at this time but it would probably be a good addition anyway.

Let me look at it again over Christmas and I will see what all would be practical for us to implement. Great Ideas!!

Howard we do not have a scanner (lucky to have computers, the president does not use them).

Thanks again,
Mark
