Hello,

Attached is my map fpr our product realization.
This is the first time I have ever done a flow chart and would like your help.

To me it seems that there is too much in it but i can't talk myself into wittling any of it out.

We are a fiberglass shop and I am trying to incorporate all models and molds into the production process.

Please let me know what you think. I am new at this and everyone here will say it is greeeeeaaaaat as long as they don't have to do it.

Thanks :bonk:

Sorry I forgot it

Hi Carol,
Your attachment did not work but it was probably a simple (and common) mistake to rectify. You can go back and 'EDIT'your post and then attach the document. If you are having trouble with the attachment it is usually hitting the wrong key. Here are the steps for attaching a document:
  1. Click on 'Manage Attachments'
  2. Select 'Browse' and select your file
  3. Select 'UPLOAD' and WAIT until it appears in the window
  4. Select 'Close this Window'
I look forward to reviewing your document

Tried Opening in VISO 2000

CarolK 79,

I tried opening in VISIO 2000 and it indicated that this vsd was newer. If you want others, who do not have the newest VISIO, then you will want to insert your vsd into a WORD file and send that as an attachment.

FYI,
Doug

Sorry

I am sorry abouut that I am quite new at this posting stuff so try this format and see if it works better

I like the use of color coding for responsibilities. I've used that myself, even going so far as using 2 color shadings for "tasks" that use two departments for responsibilities, i.e. for our order review (contract review) the responsibility is for production and sales.

Hi Carol, looks very good. :applause:

If you'd want to make a simpler version of this flowchart I'd suggest you leave out the operating details (pull, grind, foam, etc.) and focus more on the "quality-related" steps (records, decisions, etc.). You could use the operational flows as work instructions and refer to those in the main chart.
