IS Nissan TS16949 any where in the world yet? Who are the TS16949 Big Auto Makers if any. Could I get a run down on that? :bigwave:

Hi Greg,

According to AIAG new article, you may find out there are several BIG AUTO makers and their customer specific requirements being established. Pls. take a look at the run down list.

Yet, I have come again this Nissan or Renault is using this term, Ramp-up" and I am still figuring out what do they really mean?

Any helps?

I think this is the scoop:

As you go through what the 'Big 3' call APQP, you reach a point where actual production begins. You start out pushing a few cars through the line to test the line. During that change of phase from when the first cars (or whatever) go through the line - even for line testing, to a month or more after actual production began in ernest, there is a lot of troubleshooting and problem solving as reality comes into play.

The bottom line is throughput starts out slow and builds momentum as the manufacturing / assembly process is debugged and optimized. All of this is ramp up to (hopefully - the reason for a defined APQP process) a predicted (planned) output.

Can anyone tell me what the new Nissan website is for their CSR's? The published one keeps coming back as invalid.
Anyone on this?

Nissan Ramp up?

Apparently the plant in Barcelona has been 'Ramping up' Since last year, i assume it is them reaching full capacity as they are now 24hr working i believe. Their orders have not increase all that much though...

Anyone else has problems with Nissan's order forecasts? we get them in advance and the confirmed order though EDI 3 days before shipping , theyve more than doubled the orders from the forecast in the past.

Id expect better from plant of that size.
