Production & Service Provision for a Service Company

Hello all,

I'm writing the Quality Manual for my company and cant replace the word "Production" in clause 7.5 with anything.
For a consulting company, I dont think that "Production" is a appropriate word for us.
Maybe I call it "Solution Development?" or "Innovation"?

I know that our product is knowlege that we sell to customers.

Your quality manual does not need that you address the standard clause wise. The clause 7.5 does not even call for a documented procedure.
For the scope perhaps you provide design (or research) and technical consultancy.

These sound more like marketing words for prospective clients.
Can we know what specifically you are seeking ?

"Service delivery" comes to mind.

What a contradiction?

You are in a service industry but you do have a product (therefore a process to produce the product). Nothing wrong with Production and Service Provision.

A agree that "service delivery" would work well. Also:

- Consultation & training
- Contract delivery
- Project delivery
- Project execution
...

Thanks for the help,
I guess it's better to call it "Service Provision & Delivery".

So, if Im not mistaken, the term "production" can be translated to "service delivery" in every service industry! am I correct?
